
Tarō Shigaki
Tarō Shigaki (志垣 太郎, Shigaki Tarō, September 22, 1951) was a Japanese actor and voice actor. His real name was 河村 稔. He graduated from the Nihon University College of Art. He was 170 cm tall and weighs 59 kg. Actress Noriko Shirasaka (白坂 紀子) was his wife. He worked for Oscar Promotion. In 1969, he made his debut as the leading role in Star of the Giants (巨人の星, Kyojin no Hoshi). His leading works include 1974 Fuji TV The Blue Mountains (青い山脈, Aoi sanmyaku), Akantare (あかんたれ), Like an Iceberg (氷山のごとく, Hyōzan nogotoku) and Horror of the Wolf (狼の紋章, Ōkami no monshō). Currently, he is also active as a reporter for gourmet and travel programs. In dramas and historical dramas, he plays a wide range of roles, from comical to serious ones.
