
U-Kwon
Kim Yu-kwon (Hangul: 김유권), better known by his stage name U-Kwon, is a South Korean singer, dancer, and actor. He is best known as the lead dancer and vocalist of the boy group Block B and its sub-units Bastarz and T2U. Born in Suwon, South Korea, he made his debut in the entertainment industry in April 2011 with Block B's single "Do You Wanna B?". Beyond his activities with Block B, U-Kwon has established a distinct presence in musical theater and variety television. He gained significant attention in 2016 as a contestant on the dance competition show Hit the Stage, where his cinematic performance as the Joker went viral. His musical theater credits are extensive, including lead roles in Korean productions of In the Heights, All Shook Up, The Great Catsby, and Evil Dead: The Musical. As an actor, U-Kwon made his screen debut in the 2015 web drama Jumping Girl and later appeared in the KBS2 drama Radio Romance (2018). He has also expanded his musical discography with solo releases, including the single album Rise Up (2019) and the digital single "Wanna Do" (2023). U-Kwon enlisted for his mandatory military service in May 2020 and was officially discharged in November 2021. Following the expiration of his contract with Seven Seasons in early 2023, he left the agency but remains an active member of Block B.
