Dirce Funari
Patrizia Funari (known professionally as Dirce Funari) is an Italian actress. She was raised in Rome, Lazio, Italy, where she developed a passion for dance and was discovered at the Jacky O, a famous Roman nightclub she frequented regularly. Funari made her film debut at just over eighteen years old in a Paolo Poeti production. Her career began in 1978 with an appearance in Starcrash, followed by her notable role in the television miniseries Joséphine ou la comédie des ambitions (1979), where she portrayed Elisa Bonaparte. She established a significant working relationship with director Joe D'Amato, beginning with the comedy Le Gynécologue de ces dames in 1977. Throughout her active period from 1978 to 1983, she appeared in twenty-one film and television productions, working across various genres in Italian cinema. Following the late 1980s, she transitioned from acting into a career as a makeup artist. Funari's work during the late 1970s and early 1980s represents a distinctive period in Italian cinema, and her collaboration with established directors of the era contributed to the landscape of European film production during this time. - IMDb mini biography by: Angel
