Michael Maien
Michael Maien (born October 12, 1945, in Nuremberg, Germany) is a German actor, pop singer, screenwriter, and author. Trained at Munich’s Otto Falckenberg School, he made his film debut in 1965 with the controversial drama Wälsungenblut, earning the Bambi Award for Best Newcomer. During the late 1960s and early 1970s, Maien became a prominent screen presence in popular cinema, appearing in educational films by Oswalt Kolle, crime films, sex comedies, and international genre productions. At the same time, he pursued a Schlager music career with several singles and frequent television appearances. From the late 1970s onward, he shifted his focus to television, theatre, and writing. Since the 1990s, Maien has worked primarily as a freelance writer, publishing novels and cultural essays while living in Düsseldorf.
